First Look at Muji.

I finally got to see Muji. It's a Japanese store of unbranded things. Think Anonymous back in the late 90s (?)...

It was not as big as I expected but the store was really nice. I already have my wishlist from looking at the stuff in there.

And because it's a new store, I was itching to make a purchase. But since we are on tipid mode, I only bought the cheaper ones. Hehe.

A nylon-type bath towel to make sure you scrub all the dirt for only Php195. It's an alternative to the puff. This is hubby's and I am waiting for his review.

My whole bag of sponges for makeup. It's just Php255.

I wished they had the eyebrow blade. I lost mine so I have bushy eyebrows now.

Time to go to the salon.

Italianni's again.

Last Friday, hubby and I went to one of our favorite restaurants -- Italianni's.

We had the same Herb Chicken and Lychee Green Tea. And since I never got to post a shot of the refreshing drink, here you go.

Travel Magnets.

When it comes to mumu (mura/cheap) pasalubong, the magnets rank high in the office.

Here is my small collection of magnets from everywhere and from everyone...

The Korean magnets are either from me or from former teammate Chrissie. These date back from 2005. The Puerto Galera magnet is from me. The Palawan magnet is from Marianne.

The Boracay fish is from Cindy or JR (forgive me, I don't remember) while the Boracay prawn is from Carlo. The Thailand beer is from Cindy.

Congratulations.

Brother-in-law won as Barangay Kagawad today. He is no. 1.

Hubby is very proud! :)

I'm sure he will do well.

Coffee Maker.

I can't believe coffee makers can cost less than 500 bucks nowadays.

Here is 3D Cafe Aroma plus and this is just Php300.

This 500ml coffee maker fits well in a small abode and suits a not so heavy coffee drinker. It has a removable filter basket which you can clean easily. Filter is permanent and washable. And most of all, this comes with a portable cup with cover!

Office Halloween.

Halloween is back with a vengeance in the office. After the belt-tightening in 2009, the Trick or Treat celebration / competition was revived this year.

Rules have changed, however. The organizers wanted a less than all out competition... each teams needed to work with a Php15,000 budget.

Our area went for the Dora, the Explorer theme. The event meant a lot of arts and crafts time that is smuggled in our tight office hours. The area turned out wonderful and we won third place for that!

Dora, the Explorer

Despicable Me

My son enjoying Despicable Me bowling area

More of Dora

Mushroom in Dora's forest

Dora's pirate ship

Candy Land. Did I say we need to work on a budget??

Mickey Mouse Clubhouse (my son loved!)

There were also Scooby Doo, Madagascar, Avatar, Shrek, Jollitown, tons of candies and a throng of kids today. Whew!

Night Snack.

Munching this while blogging...

Member Madness.

This happens twice a year. And every time it happens, the crowds seem to get larger and larger.

We are still third world, right?

It's the S&R Members' Treat sale.

I have seen so many things that I want to buy but too bad we are on saving mode.

Hubby and I ended up buying the following:

1) Buy-one-take-one bathroom rugs
2) My little boy's box of Kool-Aid juice packs
3) Six-can pack of Dr. Pepper
4) Absolute distilled water (which is not on sale, by the way)

Just these... but look at what we went through.

And because of those lines, we deserved 3 scoops of Blue Bunny Ice Cream (mine was Mint Chocolate!). Loves.

Commons.

One of the hotshot executives in our bank became a good friend of my team. I personally think that he is fond of the team because for several occasions, he has never failed to invite us in all the treats he has organized.

He invited us one Friday for a lunchout in Commons -- located at the Valero St. in the Manhattan Square Garden building. It is a favorite hangout place of the people from our office. Food is generally Filipino. It is a restaurant during the weekdays but transforms into a bar Fridays and Saturdays (I think).

This is either the Tuna Belly or the Panga.

Sweet and sour dish.

Lechon Kawali... which is divine.

September Dinner.

It has been a while since I last saw Allan. We hit it off back in college and have never stopped being friends despite the circumstances.

Allan brought me close to Owen. She was hubby's colleague back in his old job but it was Allan who made my relationship with her as more than an office chika.

Wiwit is Owen's boy. And since I love Owen, I love Wiwit. He was not difficult to like... the couple is adorable actually.

Hubby... of course! Need I say more.

And so this is a group that clicks. And we love each other to pieces.

My dinner organizing skills magically worked during one August afternoon. Everyone agreed for a dinner date early September.

Italianni's was the venue.

Had a blast talking about anything and everything, we practically closed the place.

I have pictures of the food but I honestly could not remember what they were called.

One of our appetizers... I think this is called Brucetta.

Another one of those appetizers.

Main course for the night. The one at the fore is something I know because it's my fave Italianni's dish -- Herb Chicken. YUM.

Then some coffee chuva in Starbucks.

We ended the night at around 2AM. Time indeed flies when you are having fun.

Promises were made about the next session... something that we intend to keep but God knows when it will happen. I indeed hope soon.

Note: I do have some photos of us during that night but I am not really into posting pics of friends and family so please bear with me.

Honor and Excellence

I am proud to say that I am paying my dues... helping build a nation. Oh, I wanted to leave but something tells me to stay.

Snapfish.

One thing that has kept me away from blogging is Flickr. I have reached my limit so I can't post a lot of pictures anymore.

Good thing there is Snapfish. It says, I have unlimited photo storage for free. Yahooeee!

It's been a while...

... since I last posted an entry.

So many things are happening in my life right now. I can't keep up.

I am trying to find time because writing and sharing stories keep me sane. I have some catching up to do. Please bear with me.
