Peanut Butter and Lunch?!?

I thought this new restaurant in Paseo Center would be all about sandwiches, cookies and cakes.  There is actually more to it that I never expected.

Meet Peanut Butter Company or PBCo.

Sandwiches, okay fine... But rice meals?

Got me intrigued so I decided to try peanut butter with rice.  I thought that this should be way better than the manga and rice that I feed my little boy whenever he does not want to eat.

And because it was the Lenten Season and a Friday, I ordered Fish and Rice.

It came with Peanut Butter Mayo.  You dip the fish in it before chomping with rice.

Tasted good.  Promise.

Did not taste the mayo.  Peanut butter taste was not too strong either.  T'was sweet but not dessert-like.

So, peanut butter can go with lunch food indeed.

You would have to be really patient, though, because service can really get slow.  Place is new and so is the staff... so let's give them a break for now.

They do sell peanut butter.  Pardon me... it's GOURMET peanut butter.

I would have to try these soon.  I want to start with the Cinnamon Peanut Butter.

Another April Birthday.

Happy Birthday to girlfriend, Faye!  I wish you LOVE.

Sofa... check.

My new sofa was delivered last weekend.

From Iphone loads

Got it from SM Homeworld in Makati.  It has a 10% discount and I liked the design so we grabbed it when we saw it.  It also came with 4 throw pillows.  Yipee!

Originally, I wanted this to come in cream but the display item was dirty already.  According to the salesperson, it was the last piece and even if we have another one made for us, the fabric was not available anymore.  I had to choose another fabric... so I went with the brownish shade.

Now, I need to go back to IDeas for my coffee table "baul".  Excited!

Hey!

Hey, little boy!  You turned 3 this week.

I hope you enjoyed your day/week as much as your Dad and I have been enjoying being with you since 2008.

You always say that you are not a baby anymore.  And I agree.  Time flies fast indeed so I haven't been blinking.  To tell you the truth, I secretly hope that you remain a 3 year old for I fear the day that you will love another woman aside from me.

I pray that you keep your God-given goodness until you grow up and that you will be who you want to be.  I hope you make a difference in this world in the path that you will choose.  And I wish that you continue to love me the way you do now.

Love,
Mom

Smart Toy.

A lot of my people know that my son is a Thomas fan.  So most of the time, he receives Thomas items as gifts.

Last Christmas, my girlfriend Faye (my boy's ninang) deviated from the norm and gave him an educational toy.

It comes with an activity book which contain images which your kid should copy using the blocks shown in the first picture.

It is said to develop logical thinking skills, fine motor skills and visual and spatial perception.

My boy found it amusing when we opened the gift but eventually decided that it was no fun.  I, being a typical mom, insisted for the longest time that we have a regular session on it... so that he would get the benefits of this smart toy.

I did get tired of pushing him to like it.

Lately, however, he has become interested in it and would even request that we play with his "puzzles".  This time around, building the puzzles were a breeze for both him and me.  He seems to be excited with my reaction whenever we finish one activity.

It is indeed good that kids of his age get exposed to these types of toys but with them... timing is everything, too.  I realized that kids and all toys are not always automatic.

He is into Thomas and looks like it's far from over.  Now, he is getting into animals.

I support him 100% with his toy choices but I like the smart toys.  I hope he develops a liking for them, too, real soon.

(By the way, I bask in the fact that we are talking about toys and not... girls!)

11, 12 and 14.

Happy Birthday to my beautiful cousin, Joy... last April 11.

Happy Birthday to my Mommy dearest... last April 12.

Happy Birthday to Papang, my father-in-law... last April 14.

Happy Birthday to my good friend, Allan... also last April 14.

One Month.

As of writing, hubby is on his way to Boston.  He will be on the other side of the earth for about a month -- longest time we were apart after we got married.

While I am terribly sad that we had to be apart, I am somehow looking forward to the 'short' break.  I have one less boy to think about so that would mean a little more time for me.

The things to do are popping into my mind one by one... I need to organize everything asap.  Here they are in random order --

1. Bond with my son who ADORES my hubby to the brim.

2. Little renovations to our new place.  I need to catch my contractor.  She is currently unreachable.

3. Meet up with my girlfriends.  It has been months.

4. Read my book backlogs.

5. Swim in the clubhouse pool (with my little boy, of course).

The more things I do, the faster the month will go by.  I can't think of anything else... can someone help me?

Please let it be May soon.
