Thomas and My Boy.

My son is hypnotized by Thomas the train and his friends.  Not a day goes by without him mentioning Thomas, Annie, Clarabel, Percy, James and all the others.

It all started when he was just an infant watching Playhouse Disney channel.  The Thomas song caught his ear and he enjoyed listening to it over and over again.  He started watching the episodes later on to which his Dad did not approve because the show seemed gloomy.

He got his first Thomas toy from our friend, JR, for his second birthday.  And that triggered the Thomas overload that, I predict, will not wane anytime soon.

See his collection of Thomas trains.  Gifts from everyone.

Now, closer.  The very first Thomas train now has a cracked head.  It still works, though.

His Lolo's gift to him.  Knapford Station with Percy in Fisher Price brand (They do have Thomas in different brands!).

He also has Thomas dinner set and bathing toy from one of his lolas, Thomas socks and towel, Thomas shirts, Thomas books and Thomas briefs.

Not a bad thing at all... though we are careful not to shower him with lots of Thomas.  He plays with them as if he is a storyteller -- something which develops his creativity.  I credit Thomas for that.

Now, my little boy's birthday is coming in April.  If you have nothing in mind yet, you might consider giving him a Thomas and Friends train (in Tomy and Fisher Price brands).

  1. Aba, at may blogspot ka pala, mare!

This is such a touching story. Na-guilty tuloy si Ninang Che na never pa yata akong nakapag-regalo kay baby Gab. Sige, may Thomas something ka sa akin, Gab, this April. :)

Anyways, good that you encourage Gab and his imagination through these toys. I was like that also when I was a kid, but my stories starred Barbie and Ken. When Gab gets bigger, you can try giving him sketch pads and coloring stuff. Baka artist-artist effects din sya and grow up as a Writer like his Ninang Che. Hehe! See you soon, mare. Keep writing! :)

  2. Mare, mag-blogspot ka na rin! So I can access your posts from office where FB is banned :)

Wag ka na ma-guilty, Ninang Che. Samahan mo na lang ako mag-babysit minsan. Hehe...

So far, he is showing his artistic/musical side. He might be a pianist or a storyteller or even an artista when he grows up. I do wish that he will be good in Math din. Haha!
